Mommy & Me Swim Class!

This month Henry and I have been going to a local Mommy & Me swim class! It has been so much fun, and the aqautic center in our city is really great. And Henry has actually been learning some fun things, mostly to be more confident/comfortable in the pool :) Tuesday was our last class, and my in-laws were in town (more on grandparents visits in a bit)--my mother-in-law was nice enough to come and take some pictures for us!! Yay!

Henry is ready to go swimming! (ps, all that stuff in the background isn't mine haha, it was just in the locker room)
got into the pool! yay!

Henry was throwing the duck and then trying to swim/reach for it

swimming with my baby!

we didn't really want to float... oh well!

Henry crawling out of the pool

there is a shallow area where the kiddos could crawl around and play

he kept being anti-social and crawling over to the net

Henny went down the fishy slide!

he was amazed with these mini fountains

with our new swim class buddies :)

this thing was pretty cool, Henny loved it

he went right under it and turned his face up

we should have taken video of this, but Henry LOVES sitting on the side of the pool and then jumping into my arms.
This has been such a fun experience, and I'm glad that we did it! We might even sign up for another month in the future :)

15 months old!

Henry is 15 months old today. Whoo hoo! Henry is seriously like a real kid now. I mean, obviously he's a kid, but he seems so grown up! He's walking, talking, eating whatever he wants, climbing up stuff on the playground, etc. It amazes me when he'll do something new and I realize just how much he is learning and growing. One thing he's been doing for a while is calling for us when we aren't around. As in, Josh will be at work and Henry will look around and ask "Daddy? Daddy?", or if I go out on an errand or something, he'll keep going to the door and ask "Mama? Mama?" I think it's pretty adorable.

In the past month or so he realized what "uh oh" means, and uses it whenever he drops anything. And I use the word "drop" freely... he's developed a bit of a brattitude sometimes, and will throw/drop his food off his tray on purpose when he doesn't want it anymore. I have a little video to showcase all of these aspects ;) haha

Henry has added a lot of words to his vocabulary. He can say kitty, doggy, shoes, uh oh, ha ha, thank you, mommy, daddy, no, yeah, yay, aww, hi, and probably other stuff too that I can't remember. I swear he says new words all the time.

"what you lookin at?"
i started making him green smoothies. he loves them, and actually eats his veggies/fruits!

"i run pizza factory! hood for life!"

This month we've also started taking Mommy & Me swimming classes. It is so much fun, and he loves splashing around and looking at all the other people at the pool.

before our first class. duck face!

look at his little swim suit!
Seriously, he's such a stud. Being at home with this little man during the day (even though I have to work) is so awesome. He is so cute and affectionate, and full of energy. I love when I get all my work done and we can just hang out or go to the playground. I love this kid!!

new house, new shenanigans

Henry is king of our townhouse! He totally has rule of the roost (that's a weird saying...). Sometimes if the stars collide and the weather is nice and I almost have all my work done, we'll go to the playground. We've been twice... haha. So, most of the time he is just running amuck in the house. But don't you worry, he is far from bored.

he likes to move the chairs around. i think he was building a magical fort here.

he's obviously the best looking kid around ;)

sometimes he likes to help me make dinner

and steal my fruit snacks. don't worry, he doesn't eat them, just plays with the packs.

he schemes about how he can break into the goldfish

he laughs at my funny faces when we're playing in the mirror

he got new shoes!

he rips every sandwich apart and eats the halves separately

So yes, I'd say this king of the castle is fitting in just fine with his new surroundings! Hip hip hurray!

photobombing mommy

I was doing a little photoshoot for my blog, and Henry totally stole the show. But when you're this adorable, you can't really blame him :) I thought I would share these pictures so you can all see his cuteness.

I love this little guy. He is such a cutie!! He's allowed to photobomb me anytime ;)

14 months old

Yesterday Henry turned 14 months old! This past month has held a lot of adventures, mostly because of how crazy our lives have been (as you can tell by my lack of blogging!). Henry started walking in this past month, and ever since then he's been a walking machine! Now he hardly ever crawls anymore, and has improved his walking style from Frankenstein (full on arms sticking out in front of him!) to pro toddling. As usual, he still likes to get into everything, and is very adventurous. In the past month we have moved, and he's been our little helper through that. He's also been super spoiled because for the past two weeks we've been living with Mimi and Bear (Josh's parents), and they have been loving him up!

These pictures are sort of reverse order chronologically, but they all happened within the past month so it's ok. Here we go:

this little maestro has been improving his skills

he's been interested in watching Elmo a couple times. this is his intent face.

he helped us put our furniture back together in our new house. he's very handy.

he also got super sick, and was a poor little snuggle bug :( we think he had the flu. it was sad.

he still drinks a bottle before bed. its alright, our pediatrician said it was ok.

he had a lot of fun driving to our new place and back (a couple times!)

we were even riding buddies one day

he's become a yoga teacher. he's very advanced.

he's a pro now at climbing things and getting back on the floor properly. and being king of the hill.
and he really enjoyed his first visit to pizza factory (he takes after his mom)
As usual, it has been a really fun month, and so fun to see him constantly learning and growing. he now has 7 (almost 8--another one is coming through now) teeth, and is a legit TODDLER! I love this little boy, and I'm so excited to get to stay home with him more now that we're moving. :)
